SECURITY CAMERAS
Systems are a key component of residential security, providing continuous surveillance to help protect properties against theft, vandalism, and other unauthorized activities. These systems consist of a network of cameras installed around a home that capture video footage, which can be monitored in real-time or recorded for future reference.
- Cameras: The most visible part of the system, cameras can vary widely in type and functionality, including dome cameras, bullet cameras, infrared cameras for night vision, and PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras that can cover a larger area.
- Recording Device: Video footage from the cameras is typically stored on a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) or NVR (Network Video Recorder). These devices store footage digitally and can often be set to overwrite old footage automatically when storage is full.
- Monitoring Screens: Although not mandatory for all setups, many systems include dedicated screens or integrate with existing devices like computers, tablets, or smartphones, allowing homeowners to view live feeds and playback recorded video.
